    Wilder credibility

Obviously most proper boxing fans knew Wilder was a phoney / fraud long before he was completely exposed by Fury - but the question is this?

To the casual boxing fan, have the efforts of Wilder's marketing strategy and their attempts to help Deontay with stories of costumes, Anthony Dirrell, Mark Breland, Gloves, farmers, weak legs and all the other stuff - have those efforts helped Wilder's image or hurt it?
I kinda feel sorry for Wilder and his fans, it is embarrassing for them of course, but I think when the dust settles he can be a good gatekeeper and the kind of fighter who will be able to tell his grandkids about the success he had going from basketball to boxing.

They probably still think he is the biggest puncher of all-time 'Even though 2 years ago Anthony Joshua was probably considered a harder puncher' Wilder's power and boxing skill has been completely exposed by Tyson Fury.

They only thought this because they were told to think it.

He is utter dung. Not a good fighter and has everyone missed the fact that Fury took his punches in both fights?

Where is this "lights out" magic wand he supposedly has?

      He is utter hype

why question Wilder?? because he lost a fight?? Joshua got bounced around the ring last year by a far less opponent and people act like it never happened

Because Wilder is windmilling bum that cant fight. AJ can fight and so can the fat stubby Ruiz that beat him. Fury clowned Wilder twice. Maybe thats why

            This.

Wilder has not beaten any decent fighter who he came up against.

Just USA level bums but no top Euro or Russian dudes to prove himself. Ortiz had his number and he got out of jail twice - but against anything resembling decent opposition Wilder will fail.

Guy was sold to a gullible American populace who voted for a president that cannot read. It's easy to see what's gone wrong here.

Deontay Wilder hits hard, but I don't think he hits that much harder than Joshua or Kiltschko 'I am sure a lot of heavyweights have the ability to create massive amounts of force with the favorite punch' But what makes a truly great offensive fighter is? Creativity, Variation and a Multi-dimensional shot selection 'Deontay Wilder has none of these attributes'.

Wilder's power diminishes when you don't give him space, and he has limited creativity or foresight offensively 'Great Snooker players have the ability to operate 2-3 shots ahead of the game' great fighters can similarly anticipate and read a fight. Deontay Wilder is the type of fighter that is just reacting to THINGS that are happening to him inside of the ring, there is no methodology in his actions inside of the ring.

Out of nowhere in 2019 suddenly Wilder was being promoted as the most devastating puncher of all-time 'And it probably was a media campaign' I personally was not duped by it 'And neither was Tyson Fury'.
