Last fight I saw him live was when he was knocked out by Raphael Pineda.....prior to that I had watched a man they called “the Mexican assassin” because of so many Mexican boxers he beat. RIP champ

Yeah I got a friend who has diabetes and he doesn’t take care of himself at all. Seems like he eats whatever he wants. He didn’t get it until while he was in college either.

Sad because I hear that diabetes is fine if you manage it well.

Yeah Floyd mentioned he had diabetes which he wasn't managing well. Nah diabetics generally live 5-10 years less on average, plus losing limbs/eyesignt,strokes etc. People play too much with that sht.

I know Rogers been sick for a minute.

I knew some TMT guys I was hanging out with back in like 2011 and they was saying he was mad sick back then. If you remember Floyd had to replace Roger for those last few fights of the Showtime contract? Thats because Rogers health was seriously bad.

Very sad news, I've been a huge fan for many years, this guy was smart, very insightful and passionate about the sport of boxing. As a fighter he was nothing short of a warrior who took all comers and gave his best each and everytime. RIP Roger! The original black mamba!

RIP Champ. Man diabetes is such a brutal disease. Floyd said he used to eat junk food every morning even after he got him a chef to cook him some healthy sht. In this day and age i'd rather get hiv than diabetes.

Yea the diabetes did him in and years upon years of fighting didn't help.
