In the 4th fight JMM was like 41 or something and he KTFO Pac.

    Pac still an ATG.

Sometimes a fighter just has your number...happens.

Canelo and GGG have a great rivalry that is very similar to Pac and JMM. Like their entire series both Canelo and GGG fights can be contested to go either way. In the 1st fight it was a draw or GGG win and in the 2nd fight it was a draw or Canelo win. That's great for boxing
If the ggg who fought derev shows up, it will be a clear victory for canelo. Complete domination or a stoppage isn’t out of the question.

That's what everyone said Pac was gonna do in JMM 3 and 4

in fairness, it was looking like pac was on his way to stopping marquez in the 4th fight. also, pac was a bit shop worn at that point too...canelo is at his absolute peak, where ggg is pretty close to being washed up imo.

I read that the fight will be at 160 like the first two, which actually helps GGG if that's the case.

I would be inclined to agree, except DAZN paid both guys a lot of money with the expectation of a third fight between the two. Canelo's view is that there is nothing to gain from fighting Golovkin again but DAZN is cutting the check and they want what they paid for.

What the fuck are you talking about? Pac was shopworn?

JMM WAS FUCKING 40 YEARS OLD

JMM was also supposed to be washed up...and he KTFO someone who hadn't been stopped in like 2 decades. Basically the exact same circumstance as Canelo/GGG matchup

I think 168 would benefit both but yeah I’d guess it’s easier for GGG to make 160 than Canelo who must’ve added some muscle mass for the Kovalev fight.

I said pac was also shopworn, not that he was and Marquez wasn’t. Marquez was 39 and pretty well at the end of his career, much like ggg...but pac was already 34 and past his prime, unlike canelo who is at his absolute peak. The discrepancy is greater in the case of canelo and ggg.

Canelo is half the fighter Pac was though.

Canelo is not a Top 25 ATG and Manny and Floyd are probably both Top 20 and possibly even Top 15 EVER. EVER. PERIOD.

Canelo is a top 100 guy, sure. But hes nowhere near as good as those guys. GGG has done nothing but obsess over Canelo and his focus alone is going to make trouble for Canelo. Remember GGG has wanted this 3rd fight NOT Canelo. GGG is hyper focused NOT Canelo.

We'll see but just because Dervenchenko is a bad matchup - he always wouldve been - doesnt mean GGG is some bum.

GGG won a split decision (or it shouldve been) against Jacobs and Jacobs won a SD against Derv...

I can see it like everyone else where Canelo takes GGGs soul, but I can also see a JMM IV performance where GGG digs deep and has 1 last great performance into the sunset.

It's gonna be rough. Would hope G would get a tuneup or something, but if he straight into the Canelo fight it could be a really really rough night. Last time he took an extended break (Canelo 1) he looked pretty soft. Canelo will definitely be a huge favorite in this one.
