Youngest hw champ. Took out multiple elite undefeated fighters at the time. Knocked out a game but aging larry holmes. Larry holmes is a top 10 atg and was absolutely ran over by tyson. Not even a prime young evander could do that

Imo tyson is a shoe in HOFer , am a top 15-20 ATG . top 10 I say no . But that's just my opinion . Tyson had alot of misses in his career , and lost most the big ones , altho u cant discredit his loss to Lennox or his ones after that he was a complete shell .
That lineal title is bs. Floyd Patterson won that " lineal title" in a vacated title match. Aleast Mike Tyson beat the man. Both Floyd and Mike can make cases on being the youngest hw champion.

He was overhyped and people bought into it. On top of that he had an aura of invisibility, though it wasn't based on accomplishment. I recently watched Tyson beat Tucker, this is when Tyson was 30-0, and at the end when talking about the fight, Larry Merchant said that Tyson isn't a single shot KO artist, or something to that effect, and that was then, when it was happening, now people want to rewrite history and pretend Tyson had massive single shot power, he didn't, he had very good thudding power in every shot of his repertoire, but he was not a massive massive puncher, just a very good one, which a great range of shots. His power to me, in a P4P sense, is similar to that of Carl Froch.

The fact that he is still talked about 30 years after his prime is all you need to know.

He won a vacant title because Marciano retired . Simple as that. If the man retires that's what happens it wasnt like today ,there was one champ and Marciano didnt sign to fight him and retired not his fault it was a weak era and he couldnt get the fight he wanted .

Well my brother im sure Spinks and Holmes are ATGS and a level fighters you recent bias claim someone like Whyte to be A level fighter or Wilder im pretty sure Thomas was A level fighter when Mike beat him Smith was coming of his biggest win Tucker was A likely Ruddock was best HW after him and Holyfield its easy to be biased

When a guy faces ATGs like Berbick, Tucker, Tubbs, Biggs, Green, Thomas, Seldon, Smith, Bruno (2x !!!!), Ruddock (2X !!!!).....

I mean, damn. What do boxing fans expect from ATGs ?!?!? To die in the ring ?!?!?

He only lost to a couple of guys before Father Time stepped in

There you go again. Praising Mike for beating the worst versions of Spinks and Holmes
