It's a good reason to camp out at home and watch older fights.

The corona virus is for real, it was a bad look when China locked down whole cities and were shooting people in the back who were trying to escape. That was January. Prepare to be weathering the storm physically, mentally, and financially til next year. Would love to be wrong, but this might be the biggest dent in humanity we've seen since the beginning of recorded history.

It's bad but I doubt it is as bad as you say. The worst thing to happen in recorded history takes in some really bad stuff like world wars and the black plague that killed of over half the population in some places. There is no evidence it will be that bad.

Wuhan turned into a real life Racoon City in January. Since then, the virus has mutated at least 3 times, has spread to just about every major urban area in the world, and has caused major lockdowns in at least 3 countries? Italy is devastated. NY USA has set up major quarantine zones and have deployed the national guard. Major sports events are being cancelled globally. Not an epidemiologist either, nor a historian for that matter, but would love to know when the last time was there was a global reaction like this.

The way it's going all large groups will be banned, sporting events or whatever. It would be interesting if some sports continued without spectators because people want their sport no matter and participants just can't sit around doing nothing.
