The USA as a whole has not taken serious measures to stop the virus from entering the USA. Trump himself could have the virus given that a Brazilian minister that was close to Trump a few days ago tested positive today. Same with the Brazilian president who took part in the same meeting with Trump.

California is on the west coast, so I presume there might be more contact with Asia than there is on the east coast. Flights from Europe cancelled, but what about flights coming in from Asia or America?

This is a pandemic now. In a few days, the UK could be forced to take drastic measures if the virus spreads within the UK, but until then, a lot of people may have travelled between the UK and the USA with the virus too. Only way to stop it now, so to spread through the population slowly without exhausting intensive hospital care, is to close down schools, kindergardens, universities, firms where people work closely etc.

It will cost a billion, but if drastic measures are not taken, you'll be in for a whole lot worse soon. And that in part is Trump's responsibility, trying to downplay the risks and even calling the virus fake news. Same thing with Boris Johnson in the UK.

No chance for example the O2 event on the 28th of March will go ahead now. Lots of boxing events already cancelled in Europe, and in some countries all sports events, gyms, public swimming pools etc. has been shut down for at least two weeks. In a few days or weeks, it will all play out the same in the UK and the US too.

Here's what people need to understand.

The LAST thing you want to be doing (which is what the media is doing) is to communicate worst case death-is-at-your-door scenarios during any sort of pandemic. HIS JOB is to address those concerns.

Is COVID-19 a hoax? Guess what - we don't know. We know people are getting sick, but not why. We also see that a subset of the population (African descent) are not getting sick. We don't know why not.

There's too many unknowns, which is what rises it to a level of pandemic.


But then you look at California who basically just said that no contact sports can happen. Despite not confirming yet that physical contact is even necessary for transmission. We SUSPECT it is, but there's no proof.

We can't say it's common air, because in a plane, you got one guy who got sick out of 200-some. How's that possible?

Can't say it's surfaces of things because you have FedEx, UPS, etc. delivering packages all over the place, yet nobody gets sick from that. Why?

When the dust settles, I'll tell you how this will go down.

They will discover that certain people are genetically predisposed to catching it.

They will discover that the person's diet and lifestyle (whether you smoke, for example) is a contributor to your likelihood of contracting it.

They will discover that it's not airborne and can only be transmitted via some sort of liquid contact with your mucous membranes (eyes, etc). So if someone even so much as sneezes nearby, whether they cover their mouth or not, you will get infected. If you walk into a bathroom an infected person just used, whether they tried to clean up or not, you will get infected.

Lastly, they will determine that COVID-19 is nothing more than a very highly picky version of the same flu people suffer from seasonally, and won't even bother with a vaccine. They will just wait it out like they did Ebola.
