I Remeber just last year the fans were crying saying Canelo is shook of Callum Smith and blah blah blah cause he chose to fight rocky fielding as his first 168 fight now fast forward to right now the Canelo vs Smith fight is offical and now Callum Smith is a cherry pick bum lmfao.

Both Smith and Saunders looked terrible in their last fights. Still not sure how based off of those performances, they became the 2 front runners for the Canelo fight. Shouldn't it be someone who actually looked good in their last fight? People complained about Floyds opposition over the last 5 yrs of his career, but he understood that in the perception of fans, you're only as good as your last fight, and he almost always picked guys coming off good wins. Canelo consistently picks guys coming off bad/vulnerable performances.

I know Smith is better than Fielding and fresher than Kovalev, but I don't see him being a significant threat to Canelo despite the size. Smith is a pretty basic fighter, and nowhere near as skilled as Alzarev.

Haters always crying about whoever Canelos fighting after YOU were til recently saying Canelo was ducking boogiemen like Smith/bjs. Haters never say WHO exactly Canelos somehow ducking when you moved the goalposts to still find a way to hate on LITERALLY who you said Canelo was duckin beforehand that hes now making offers to & fighting,you intentionally make veiled bs about why after several yrs of fighting nothing but champions you said he wouldn't,you still here like the hating ass you always have been

I’m not sold on Callum as being the goods And clear #1 at 168. He needs a deeper resume But..

I’m a Saunders fan so glad he got the fight but If the choice was either Saunders / Smith it’s no surprise Saunders was picked. He’s started as 160 , Smith is Naturally 168 , Taller , Longer Reach , Has Power at 168 and move and box.If Smith is indeed the real deal he has Lots of intangibles that Canelo would have to overcome

& Saunders can talk trash 30x better and sell the fight

People are Ret.arded if they think he priced himself with Canelo. If Canelos team want you as a Opponet they’ll negotiate and make it happen , sending one offer probably knowing it’ll get sent back then moving on isn’t exactly a Sign if them wanting Smith.

I am admittedly not a big fan of Canelo, but this is a very sane and accurate post.
