I thought I read that only 33 people have died from it in France total...also the flu kills about 100 people per day in the US.

What a DUMB article.

The NHL and NBA were told by state politicians they HAD to either cancel games or temporarily suspend admission.

Boxing is a FOR PROFIT sport. It will NEVER choose public health over profits. Both cards this weekend will have regular admission. State legislators can dictate boxing shows, but boxing is a violent sport that attracts gamblers, high rollers, drug users and drinkers, and people with all sorts of vices.

Do NOT expect boxing to go on some noble high road. It will NEVER do that. There are 4+ "champs" in each division so commissioning orgs can collect more money from each belt holder - GREED.

Some Ebola strains have a - literally- 50% mortality rate. Coin flip you live or die. Treatment is available and in modern nations with what is considered normal treatment people will be fine.

Corona virus is not a big deal for 60-65% of population. The elderly and those with significant respiratory conditions may have some challenges.

The death rate is actually 6%. 6% of the US Population is 19.5 million. Not a big deal though.

Actually whenever the death rate is stated it’s meant that IF ONE ACQUIRES IT, there’s a 6% chance you’ll die, a death rate that includes the average from babies to seniors. It doesn’t mean 6% to general populations. For example if the seniors were contained in an environment with just them and corona, I’m more than sure the death rate would be much higher, and doesn’t mean population.

We are in the containment phase so governments have to do whats necessary. I don't think people understand what a pandemic is. Thankfully, some of you in this thread with the opinions that you have are not in charge of these decisions.
