Could you watch a boxing event with NO fans in attendance?!

It’s almost 100% likely that boxing events will be having to take place behind closed doors with no fans due to coronavirus. Using logic and sense, there is absolutely no way boxing events in the foreseeable future will be allowed to go ahead with fans in attendance.

I couldn’t watch with no fans in the audience. Would be boring. With zero atmosphere. I’d rather is just get postponed until this virus has gone. Eddie Hearns said himself boxing without an atmosphere and audience is boring.

They have started playing soccer behind closed doors for ALL matches now, and believe me it’s boring AF to watch.

    Yes lol

I'd prefer it like that, like Tong Po vs David Sloan

It could look pretty cool black out everything except the ring get some really good microphones directed at the fighters would probably be able to hear them breathing and the punches would sound amazing without the crowd

But...no crowd = no need for ring card girls. That's not acceptable.

Watch Douglas vs Tyson. That’s what it would sound like. The Japanese don’t cheer when they are watching boxing so you hear footsteps, punches landing and all the grunting.

On a smaller and more modern scale, I remember watching Ultimate Fighter eliminations that were live. Those had nothing but the required personnel ringside. Fights were still fights. Nothing changed.

It would probably be ok if the shills who commentate are locked out as well. We might be able to concentrate a little better on what's happening in the ring rather than being told what they want us to see.

Not going to lie, it would be pretty interesting. For those that have boxed, it would feel like sparring matches with hardly anybody there. Perhaps the judges could even focus more and deliver better scorecards.

I dont mind at all. It would be like watching a quiet sparring match but the real thing.

I would definitely missed those ooohs and ahhhs and the overall atmosphere of fights with massive people but it’s only a temporary thing.
