P4p literally means pound for pound, as in, if everyone was in the same weight class, who would beat who.

In other words, if Canelo and Loma were natural welterweights (not drained or ballooned up respectively), would they be able to defeat Crawford. It's who has the better skills in head to head or who beats everyone in head to head.

    It's not a resume competition.

Yes, resume is considered, but it ends there, it's not a determining factor, more of an influential factor.
But Crawford looks that good due to not stepping it up. It’s easy to look good when you fight easy opponents. If Canelo keeps fighting guys like Rocky Fielding, he’d have TKO’s all the time and “look” great.

I don’t see anyone on Crawford’s resume that is on Mayweather, GGG, Cotto, Lara, or Jacobs level. I’ll give him Postol as a decent B level fighter. Crawford looks good/great vs lower opposition. His opposition is actually worse now than it was before when he fought Beltran, Klimov, even Ricky Burns was a step up from now.

    Who was his last opponent?

Crawford hasn't looked vulnerable in the way other fighters have. Plus he's undefeated.

I concur, King Mayweather is right .... Loma, Alvarez, Saunders, Lubin and maybe even the older Charlo can work out the #2 position. Those guys have a skill set I appreciate and that should be able to improve.....imo that is....I also appreciate Fury's skill set, but he's effective mainly due to that height advantage and lanky frame of his. I'd love to see him against a good "taller" guy.

Barring any future dumb costume excuses, a prepared limited Wilder will still give Fury hell....Right now no one else is coming to mind, but I'm sure someone will....Spence is very good with a mind thats even better than his skill set, but he needs 'more skilz' to deal with the guys I've already mentioned. But like I said, his thinking might will him through to a win against the best of them (if they all were in the same weight class, that is)...

And I would have to say Mayweather is absolutely incorrect. WHO DID CRAWFORD DEFEAT AT HIS CURRENT WEIGHT CLASS TO MAKE HIM POUND FOR POUND??? simple question

In boxing, unfortunately, it’s hard to make good cross-promotional, cross-networking fights unless there’s a lot of money involved. When it comes to Crawford, he is not a PPV fighter, so the big money isn’t there. Pacquiao left TR so that fight is off the table too and Pacquiao ain’t fighting Crawford over Mikey Garcia, a fighter with a bigger fanbase.

Wilder vs Fury II was lucky to get 800k PPV buys and even that didn’t cover the fighters guarantees. So the chances of Top Rank/ESPN and PBC/Fox making another cross promotional fight after that are slim for the time being. It would take a big attraction and i’m sorry, Crawford isn’t that. He is very good, one of the best fighters today, but not an attraction.
that's bogus. the ppv model is slowly but surely dying so being a ppv attraction wont matter. crawford is undefeated and a three weight world champion and holds a welterweight title. crawford is absolutely being ducked he's simply too good and has the skillset that's a nightmare for anybody to deal with.

True, I don't believe theres anyone out there that can remotely have Crawford looking or feeling stressed in a fight - no matter how good they are. What I really like is how he switches to south paw and is just as strong effective & poised. He's a complete fighter. "Complete" doesnt bode well for most boxing fans (it seems), some think toe to toe rock em' sock em' free wheelin' brawling IS "real" fighting....I believe every fighter has to have a little chess AAAND checkers in their arsenal to deal with the different styles they'll inevitably face.
