Bates is in awesome shape definately a lot better than the last time we spoke.

I fully expect a Holyfield win, considering what I am seeing in camp and from what I talked to you about. But Bates will make it exciting....While it lasts...Also Bates has relocated his training camp to a more remote place which is a lot better than before...He is getting very serious for this fight and will be leaving for Dallas in a matter of days.

Thats good to hear. If Evander ever lost to Bates I think even he would have start considering retirement. What do you think?

If Evander loses to Bates I hope he has enough sense to retire considering he picked him solely on the basis that he was the easiest opponent to come back on...Jeremy thinks otherwise but deep down he knows why he was chosen...But things have cleaned up a lot and Jeremy is more serious about it than when he first came in..

Id love to see Bates put a drubbing on Holyfield for the sake of Holyfield getting out of the sport.

I hear you, as weird as it sounds that would be the best thing for Holyfield.

Not if he doesnt leave for good.

But getting beat by Bates who isnt even a top 100 ranked fighter would put a rude awakening you would think.

Holyfield is becoming a joke now, he's made over 200 mil in his career, he should retire and enjoy his money.

With all that money, he can get into all type of businesses, so it's not like he will have nothing to do.

If your smart, you will make yourself billions with the amount of money he has.

the only person who has ever made an effective comeback at such an age is foreman and he is a very special case.

holyfield is trying to do something he didn't manage to do in his prime so he IS going to fail!

It's crazy man, you get Hatton and Pac threatening retirement quite young and compare that to Holyfield.
Not belittling Hatton and Manny cause if I had millions I would probably decline to get in the face for a living anymore.
Interestingly, the decline of age has slowed hugely. It wouldn't surprise me if we see more fighters going on into their forties if they have had a relitively unscathed career. I work with the elderly and I know a large number of late 90 year olds and 100 year olds who are a little frail but still functioning frighteningly well.

In that scenario it would most likely be the latter. It's sad when fighters as great as Holyfield 'was' continue. He'll never win the world title again IMO, even in the heavyweight divisions current state.
