Keith Thurman is interested in Danny rematch and Crawford for possible return bouts. Still want the Manny rematch.

Would not turn down a decent offer from Crawford

thurman may want this but we all know al gaymon won't let it happen. his worst nightmare is his guys losing to bob arum guys. fury beating wilder was a huge blow to pbc. crawford is the best welterweight his skills and style makes him the favorite over any of the pbc welters. crawford would beat thurman via body shot. in addition to being skilled crawford is just too tough and gritty for thurman.

I'm very careful in using the words "destroy" or "obliterate" or "annihilate" if both fighters are the elite of their division

There's usually not that much disparity in skill among the elites unless another elite has been protected for a long time (like Wilder or Broner)

Recent elite fighter vs elite fighter in the welterweight division:

Thurman vs Porter result: UD win by Thurman 115-113
Thurman vs Garcia result: SD win by Thurman
Porter vs Garcia result: UD win by Porter 115-113
Pacquiao vs Thurman result: SD win by Pacquiao
Spence vs Porter result: SD win by Spence

Crawford is the only one who still hasn't fought the elite fighters of his division (this can be a bad thing because he may very well be caught off guard by the disparity of skills between that of the elite and the mediocre)

Thurman is a shell of the fighter he once was imo
And as someone mentioned , I can see Bud stopping him with a nice body shot
Either way , this would be a great fight while it lasts

As much as possible, I try to avoid arguments that have:

            woulda
            coulda
            shoulda

It defeats the statement. Nothing has been proven.

I think obviously, bud beats thurman. However like OP mentions its not some forgone conclusion and any time you're talking about elite fighters vs elite, its always atleast a conversation.

Why i think this fight would be compelling is the fact that arguably crawford has never fought anyone with the skillset thurman has. Definitely not at welterweight. Get thurman another fight to get his timing and knock off any last rust. This guy is legit. Before bud and spence popped up it was 2015-2016 that keith was considered the NO. 1 Welter

The Crawford fans will say he doesn't deserve a shot yet when Crawford announces a fight against some nobody outside of the top of 20 they will say its a 'dangerous' opponent. Fact is Crawford and his fanbase don't want any sort of risk. Thurman beats him anyway, you can't even compare their recent level of competition.

I'd like to see Thurman vs Crawford.

                    I don't think Thurman's time is done.

In the Pacman bout, he was starting to find his rhythm as the rounds went by, but it was too late.

I wouldn't count him out, but Crawford is one bad dude
