Trainer wants me to fight a 122lb fighter. Is this normal?

As you know from the previous posts I have made I am 16 and 5'1 and 112lbs. I have made the decision to become fully dedicated with boxing. So far I have had three bouts with three other fighters my size. I have won all three but they have all been by decision. I did score a knockdown, but he beat the count and made it to the final bell.

My trainer wants me to fight a fighter that is 122 lbs and 5'4. He fully believes that I can beat him and says that his record is only 2 wins and 5 losses.

Is this normal for a trainer to put you up against a fighter like this? He would like me to fight him in the next two weeks, but thought I would ask here for advice first. I cannot put on any weight no matter how hard I try, because I'm naturally skinny and my father is naturally skinny as well around my size.

What do you know about your opponent? Are you comfortable taking the fight? Do you believe you can win? If the answers are "yes" then I would take the fight. If the answers are "no" then I wouldn't take the fight.
