mares and porter are both pbc employees thus they have to keep the façade going they have to pretend this is an even fight for wilder's sake. we all know how mentally fragile wilder is look at how he tried to get paulie fired for saying fury schooled him in the first fight and that it wasn't wilder who was robbed it was fury! fury broke wilder's psyche and physically dominated him in the ring. wilder won't be the same ever again. if wilder at his best and most confident couldn't compete with fury how is this diminished version supposed to?

"Nearly going cuckoo" implies he was nearly knocked out.

Anybody who believes Fury nearly went cuckoo in that fight is actually cuckoo and needs to rewatch the dominant, one-sided beat down again, regardless how painful it is for you to watch lol

Since Fury's struggles with mental health he’s become very empathetic. He was feeling sorry for Wilder who looked more depressed than Richard Branson when his space plane blew up and tried to give him an uplifting comment. Nothing more, nothing less.

fury will easily be a 3-1 favorite, which for a giant title fight at HW are very long odds.


wilder has basically no shot in the rematch. he's probably never going to be the same fighter again. he will always have power, but it was his confidence in that power was one of the things that got him through bad stretches.

he will not be as confident now that he's gotten his butt kicked around the ring by a flat out better fighter. wilder couldn't do a damn thing with the fury jabs or feints, and nothing but a lucky punch will change that.

yeah fury was just being a nice guy and feeling himself. i'm sure he felt the wilder shot, btu he also rolled it and took a lot off of it. wilder is just a puncher who happens to be 6'7" and fast. it's been obvious for a long, long time. he doesn't use any of his gifts other than his power.
