    Fighters who brought race into boxing but ended up getting battered

    1. Bernard Hopkins: he brought race into his fight against Joe Calzaghe and claimed no white man can beat him. But he ended up getting battered by Calzaghe.

    2. Conor McGregor: though he isn't a boxer but he brought race into his fight against Floyd Mayweather and he ended up getting battered.

    3. Deontay Wilder: he brought race into his fight against Tyson Fury and said he would make Fury a black history month ornament. But he ended up getting battered and turned into an ornament.

                  Minter said something like, 'I am not letting a black man take the title from me.' Then Minter proceeded to take a three-round beatdown. Immediately after the fight, a load of beer cans were thrown into the ring, and Hagler had to be escorted out quickly
