Jeison Rosario might not have much say in whom he faces for his first title defense, but can take comfort in knowing his next move won't be restricted to a contract clause. BoxingScene.com has learned that former unified junior middleweight titlist Julian J-Rock' Williams does not plan to enter an immediate rematch with Dominican Republic's Rosasio (20-1-1, 14KOs), against whom he suffered a title-conceding 5th round knockout loss this past January in his Philadelphia hometown.

One of the more embarrassing moments in my life. I took my 13 yr old to that fight. Pumped up Williams, telling my son his back story, from the hometown. And then he gets drilled in the 1st ever fight my son attends, LOL!!!!

Williams has every right to be upset with Hurd. Hurd exercised the rematch clause tying Willians entire 2019 up before pulling out of the fight months later.

Who wouldn’t be upset spending time and money on a fight that the opponent pulls out last minute because of reasons.

I like boxing like this though honest, the Unknown and the Unpredictability, you just never know WTF can happen and who can become World Champion in this ERA. Jeison Rosario was on a lot of PBC Undercards for years now just WORKING. Got upsets over more touted prospects like Justin DeLoach and Jamontay Clark then all of a sudden gets the call for J Rock fight and he ran with that opportunity made HIMSELF World Champion with NO SHORTCUTS or SPECIAL PROMOTIONAL TREATMENTS! Great Story!

If No J Rock again, the show must go on this sport doesn't stop for NOBODY! Jeison Rosario vs Erislandy Lara, Jarrett Hurd and of course Unification with Jermell Charlo it is plenty of options at 154 while J Rock figure out what will be his next move
