Wilder became a huge star after beating Luis Ortiz.

Just wondering why the other heavyweights out there are not rushing to fight him. Beating him will make a huge difference in your boxing career. Wilder can testify to that.

Both - overrated by Wilder fans, underrated by non Wilder fans.

He is a very good boxer, but two things work against him, feet arent fast and he is a bit undersized against the top guys.

Ortiz was a very solid fighter a few years ago. I remember Fury, who downplayed everyone at the time, calling him a “dangerous ****.” I think age has finally caught up with him, though. So is Ortiz overrated? If someone has them their top-five, I’d say he’s overrated. If someone says he doesn’t belong in the top-ten, I’d say he’s underrated.

It would depend on who is doing the rating. I think he is a bit overrated on average.

Where would you currently place him?

Massively overrated going by his opposition..... many still believe he is top 5 going by a win against a B level fighter 5 years ago.

Wish somebody besides Wilder would actually fight him so we could find out.

Styles makes fights. Ortiz is very good. Does he beat everyone? Obviously not. Does anyone else beat everyone?

Obviously not. Very few boxers beat everyone they face. That said, Ortiz prior tp the Wilder fights was a massive risk for all HW's. A risk that most passed on taking. Should they have passed? Hard to say ...

                      But they did.

At this point Ortiz is still dangerous, but probably not as dangerous as he once was. Time, injuries, age, catches up to everyone sooner or later.

I still wouldn't fight him, LoL!
