Wilder has 10 defences and a crazy KO record. Whyte has had some good fights back to back that built momentum before the PED result, he went Helenius, Browne, Parker, Chisora, Rivas back to back. During his win streak ending with his first loss to Fury, Wilder didn't have 5 back to back fights like that. But his KO wins over Ortiz are good wins. Whyte's win over Parker is a good win too, decent win over Rivas (top-10 ranked at the time)

    Best 5 wins each are:

    Wilder - Ortiz x2, Washington, Stiverne x2.

Whyte - Parker, Rivas, Chisora x2, Browne.

I give the edge to Wilder. But that's an indictment of his resume that a guy that's never challenge for a title has a resume almost as deep as his. A win over Povetkin cements Whyte's standing as a top-5 HW.

Brezeale and Fury were both ranked in the top ten. Breazele at one point was ranked as low as six I think (I had no idea what they saw in him)

I think they are about the same. Wilder has two KOs of Ortiz and he beat a few of guys ranked about number 10 to 15 or so. Whyte has wins over Chisora and Parker and others also ranked about 15th or 20th. Both have 1 KO loss and Wilder has a draw with Fury. I don't see much difference in the quality of their records.

Whyte has the better resume and is probably the better fighter Wilder really can't box for ****.

Nah... there’s not loads between them but Wilder definitely has the better resume. He has 3 good wins in Stiverne 1 Ortiz 1 and Ortiz 2 who were universally ranked top 5 by Ring, TBRB etc.

Whyte only really has 1 good win against Parker who was ranked top 5 by Ring, TBRB etc.

The likes of Brezeale, Duhaupas, Arreola, Stiverne 2 and Washington are all solid wins.

Whilst Whyte has solid wins over Chisora x2, Rivas, Browne and Helenius.

Comparable resume’s but Wilder’s is certainly better.

Breazeale was NOT ranked in the top 10 at the time of the fight.. Fury however was in December 2018https://www.tbrb.org/2019/05/21/14-may-2019/

I was using Ring rankings, but I'm glad to see more people using TBRB! Especially since they have a better archive now that we can only really see Ring year end rankings now.

                      Duhaupas ranked #10
