I think distribution rights in boxing is all ****ed up because most promoters own that. Promoters signing their fighters to exclusive deals does mean exclusive distribution as well.
I mean, not all films/movies you see on Netflix are produced by them.
They were produced by independent film makers and Netflix bought them.
Point is, these streaming services are content creators, or buyers.
The more products they have the better they have chances of attracting customers.
Although DAZN is focused on live events, their subscribers have access to replays and relevant documentaries.
Point is, Eddie Hearn can't possibly produce everything fans want.
DAZN needs to have the same business model as these other streaming services.
TR and PBC need to take advantage of DAZN's abundant season
is all I'm saying, instead of competing against them.
Join them if you can't beat them, as they say.
They don't have sell their babies and look for buyers.
I have always thought DAZN is just like any streaming service provider that needs lots of contents for their hungry subscribers. The more contents, the happier the customers are.
Which means producers don't have to have brand name recognition to produce contents.
These all-you-can eat types of businesses are sprouting everywhere. You can read all the books you want, for example, by paying monthly or yearly subscriptions. You can also listen to every type music, you name it.
The thing about sports is people for the most part only like watching them live. It loses its luster if you already know the outcome and have to watch it later.

Yup. There are a few matches I never even finished because they were snooze fests, and they got spoiled for me by round 8 so what's the point?
PBC, Top Rank/ESPN see DAZN as a competitor. Why would they put content on a competitors platform that could draw customers away from their own product?
Even Netflix has a lost a lot of shows and movies now that other networks have their own streaming platforms. It’s called competition.
the problem with boxing is that the promters are old school and they want to control everything. They believe if they control everything they can manueaver more money out for themselves so they are all in this CONTROL EVERYTHING OR DIE TRYING stage of their professional career.
Dazn took over, espn+ is a failure, No one likes it you have to be on espn3 one minute the next without notice the feeds cuts off and you have to be on ESPNnews then that feed cuts out then you have to be on ESPN+ channel 33 and this isnt a exaggeration either.
PBC is good but also their fights are split between 3 channels, 1 free fox, 2 paid fox sports and showtime. Which imo isnt that bad but when fights are on fox they seemed rushed and no pagentry at all which kinda kills the fights ambience it doenst feel like big fights, fox sports I like feels like an upgraded ESPN friday night figths, and showtime is showtime.
What i like about Dazn is they dont act like other fighters dont exist, they dont avoiding bringing up fighters from pbc or toprank or wherever they just talk boxing.
This is how good dazn is the only thing bad people say are "ITS ON A APP" "I DONT WANT TO WATCH BOXING ON MY PHONE" but all the real people know they are just broke motehr****ers cause if they werent they would know apps for tv too nukka.

Arum already confirmed he's looking for buyers of TR doe.
PBC as well ever since I can remember.
So this competition thing no longer make any sense.
Point is, they don't have to sell them.
Produce your own fights with your TR or PBC banners intact and sell them to DAZN
for twice or thrice of what you spent.
