    Canelo needs names.

I was happy to see the Saunders fight happen. It’s exciting to see Canelo go up in weight classes and perhaps even showcase a light heavyweight match. But the truth is there will not be a mega fight unless he goes down in weight. Can you imagine a stadium fight against Spence Jr, Crawford, etc? As much as we want him to conquer different divisions, he will go through Saunders in eight rounds. Perhaps Benavides would have been a better choice? Or next. Your thoughts?

Canelo is doing just fine. All his fights are major events.

Canelo calls the shots. If Canelo wants you to wear pink gloves with pokadots you do it.

        Benavidez absolutely should be next

and then look for some age/wear the right time... to fight Beterbiev/Bivol

Canelo is a damn good fighter but not some magic man who can go up to 175 or down to 147 whenever he wants to. He gave up his 175 pound title because he is too small to beat Bivol or Beterbiev in my opinion and apparently in his opinion. I believe Canelo can no longer comfortably make 160 either and will never again fight at 160. Canelo is too big for middleweight and too small for light heavyweight and that makes him perfect for 168 which is why he is fighting Saunders for the WBO 168 pound world title. I am sure he beats Saunders and will continue to fight at 168 and at no other weight. Forget about Canelo dropping to 147 or 154 to fight Crawford or anyone else at that weight. At this point in time that is not doable. I doubt you will ever again see Canelo fight at 160 either.

Bivol is younger and fresher than Canelo. There will NEVER be a right time for Canelo to fight Bivol.

There’s nothing wrong with pink gloves or polka dots. I remember De La Hoya even coming out to Mariah Carey songs. That wasn’t my point. As a boxing fan I’d like to see him fight bigger names than a “Saunders” that’s all.

I agree with everything you said. I was just making a point as a boxing fan I’d like to see at the end of his career having fought bigger names. But true, he can only fight what’s out there. Just an example, Roy Jones Junior was perhaps one of the best fighters but your average person couldn’t name five people he fought. But I love Canelo and I’ll continue going to his fights wherever and whomever with!
