was the narrative at the time, that Fury was a cherry pick by Wilder

for the first fight, was the narrative at that time that Fury was a "cherry pick" by Wilder, and why was this?

He was fat out of shape and had fought nobodies. Fury was a cherry pick. Fury still hasn't fought a decent boxer since his comeback.

yes. because wilder turned down 100 million to fight an out of shape fury who looked horrid in his 2 comeback fights.

As a Fury fan..... I knew he was going in out-of-shape..... I was still confident he could pull it out the bag.

Wilder's problem is he is not a volume puncher and can't pressure.

Fury, even out of shape, was able to navigate the 12 rounds at a fairly comfortable pace....... the problem was he got too comfortable and got flattened.

It was a cherry pick. When u see the rematch it's obvious fury was at 50 percent, the only problem even fury at 50 percent was too good for bum squad.
