  • Comments Thread For: Frank Warren Shoots Down Hearn's Claim of Fury-Joshua Talks

Frank Warren, co-promoter for WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, has shot down the recent statements of rival promoter Eddie Hearn, who guides the career of WBO, IBF, IBO, WBA world champion Anthony Joshua. In several interviews, Hearn indicated that he's had several positive conversations with respect to a year-end unification clash between Fury and Joshua.

Hearn lying again!.....Bob said there has been no sit downs or conversations and can't be with out Tyson's other co-promoter and that's Warren. Eddie Hearn is a fantasist and the real fans can see straight through him! His golden goose has been laid and he's doing all he can to quickly cash out before he's laid again!

Team Joshua 'we want the fight after pulev, let's start talks for end of the year, we have no fear of fury' .......... Team fury' we aren't starting talks, Joshua should question if he really wants the fight, fury might retire soon as has had a long career, Joshua might not even win his next fight and needs to concentrate on that, wilder could clip fury to make a 4th fight'

          This is alot to unpack.

          First:
Eddie Hearn was trying to build demand for what could be the biggest fight in 30 years. Sure, everyone knows Wilder has the option but everyone also knows the numbers aren't there for an immediate 3rd fight.

Of course Wilder kicked in the rematch clause because if he didn't he would have no leverage and Haymon is smart, he's all about leverage.

Frank...if you are reading this....try to stay with me.

          Next:
If enough demand is generated there's more than enough to pay Wilder twice what he made in the rematch *just to step aside.* Eddie has been in contact with Saudi Arabia and Bob and there seems to be real interest. It still remains to be seen if Wilder will step aside for a mountain of unearned money but it's still possible, a long shot but possible.

Last piece of the puzzle is the most difficult:
The key is Wilder, Wilder is prideful and after his last showing he may not care about the money. Keep in mind, both Finkle and Haymon know that if Wilder loses it's over. It doesn't take a genius to know that a confidence fight, 20 million step aside and maybe a guarantee to fight the winner would bring in a Brinks truck full of money.

And there you are Frank Warren, the only guy that didn't get the memo. It's called promoting Frank and if you spent more time doing it and less spewing visceral hatred your fighters will stop leaving you for financial reasons....

          PS, you're a F%kin idiot.

Team Joshua: we've been negotiating for a Fury fight

The truth: nothing like that happened. They just want attention.

What Hearn said was "Myself and Bob Arum have been talking to a point where we're ready to conclude a deal and try to move forward to get that deal done for December"

I'm sceptical about any deal being as close as Hearn suggests; however, I'm also sceptical that neither side has sounded out the other about the possibility of a deal, as Warren would have us believe.

Of the three promoters, Arum is the most full of shit. A few weeks ago he said there was no way that he would allow the Joshua/Pulev fight to happen in London. And we know how that ended up going.

Eddie has probably sounded out Bob. Frank's probably been given as much information as he was when Fury signed up with Bob.

Warren should just retire. He only has Daniel Dubois and Liam Williams left. The rest of his good fighters all left to sign with Hearn or Arum.

What's wrong with that? They want the fight, same as they wanted wilder. I've never known a team get criticised so much for wanting fights and showing willingness to negotiate
