Comments Thread For: Claressa Shields: I'm The P4P Best Female, Katie Taylor is Second

Amanda Serrano and Cecilia Braekus are better p4p than Shields. Laila would've knocked her out in her prime too.

Amanda Serrano is P4P #1 for me.

She has won world titles in 7 different weight classes. No other female has even come close to that.

none of the current crop should be included, i stopped watching women boxing a long time as they cannot punch, not seen anybody stopped in years.

Forget p4p and start knocking people is where you will get respect

Is Shields admitting that she will fight Taylor then? If Claressa only wants to fight the best then it’d be like Mayweather giving Marquez the opportunity. Will Shields give Taylor a catch weight?

Definitely not Shields nor is it Taylor. That Persoon fight leaves a bitter taste for Taylor to be the number 1. Got to be between Braekaus and Serrano.

problem is despite the fact that she won 'em in relatively (female terms) deep divisions she beat almost no-one worth a damn to get most of 'em. Her ability to gain and cut weight is incredible but you don't really get extra points for bouncing around to pick up vacant titles against weak opposition (and yeah 5 of the 7 were vacant titles I think)

TBF I really like Amanda and she does have a coupla of decent and one excellent win in Hardy recently which eclipses any single win by Braekhus in the last coupla years or Shields ever, so I wouldn't complain if anyone was to have her top of the pile but I'm still inclined to go with Cecelia till she shows any signs of slippage. Shields is clearly an elite female fighter but she's really hindered in any P4P conversation by the utter lack of depth in the womens higher weighclasses (and TBF that counts some against Braekhus too, though not as much).

Taylor and Persoon need to run it back of course before anyone annoints Katie, as good as she undoubtedly is.

Amanda Serrano or The First Lady only

Lol with her. She may be good yes, but her accomplishments isnt even at par with Amanda Serrano and Cecilia Braekhaus.

Neither Shields nor Taylor nor Braekhus have beaten anyone worth a damn either, really.

Women's boxing isn't deep at all in any divisions if we're being honest.
