this is not a thread aimed at joe calzaghe, its aimed at the wretched IBF. with his victory over lacy, calzaghe added the IBF SMW title to his WBO SMW title. but the IBF has a long sad history of stripping their champions of their titles for ridiculous reasons. im sure they're going to use calzaghe's broken hand and subsequent inactivity as an excuse to strip him of the title.
now, ive not heard any news about this. this whole thing is just a hunch developed from looking at the IBF's sickening history.
as a matter of fact, DM dropped his IBF title right after he won it cuz some **** won a lawsuit that said he had to give this ***** an IBF title shot in only 30 days after DM won the title from virgil hill.
i could go on and give example after example of fighters dropping the IBF title and getting stripped of the IBF title. i dont expect joe calzaghe to keep the title long. the broken hand and subsequent layoff might be just what that goddamn IBF needs to strip him of his deserved title.
