  • Comments Thread For: Arum Says Fury Retirement Talk Should Be Taken With 'Grain of Salt'

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum says that Tyson Fury's claims that he will retire after two more fights should be taken with "a grain of salt". Fury's US promoter says that while the WBC heavyweight champion might be genuine when saying he wants to quit, such decisions were "subject to change".

Andy Ruiz is looking for easy tune ups. Joshua is hiding behind DAZN. Wilder is about to get his Black Panther ass sparked again. Not sure what else, Fury needs to do? Dude is the Lineal Champion and Wilder was supposedly the guy in his way.

If Fury retires unbeaten, which looks to be a strong possibility. Expect people to say he ducked Usyk or something ****** like that

They should be taken very seriously.

After his last big win he left boxing for 3 years, in his prime. He’s older now, so it should be taken with more than a grain of salt.

I noticed how you mentioned Andy Ruiz as just Andy Ruiz, even though he’s proud of being a Mexican. You mentioned Tyson Fury as just Fury, even though he’s proud of his gypsy history.

But for Wilder, you just had to give him a racial title, just to let people know how much disdain you have for his skin color and culture.

When are you hoes going to start discussing boxing as you would if you were talking about it in reality.

Dudes like you who talk like that, you’re living in fantasy.

He'll retire but he'll do it about 3 or 4 different times. Mayweather style!

Should be taken with a bottle of whisky, which is what Tyson Fury most likely had prior to his early retirement claim.

Lol right. This isn't theory too...if he retires in 2 fights at all.

That said I hope he does retire. I'd love to see more guys get out young & on top. This sport ain't no joke.

He just came back. He simply doesn't wanna defend his titles. He didn't do it after Wlad, and now he just wants to beat the top two guys and walk again until someone else starts getting all the glory, at which point he he'll rear his head again.

Joshua from what i understand plans on fighting for a long time after he unifies. That's what the HW division needs. Not for one guy to beat all the other guys and then walk, with all the belts going vacant again.
There was a formula 1 driver called Nico Roseberg, he came through the ranks with Lewis Hamilton but? Had never beaten Hamilton over 1 season since their early teenage years etc In 2016 Nico Roseberg finally beat Hamilton over 1 season and captured the Formula 1 Drivers World Championship title 'Many people thought he would defend his title but? He decided to retire knowing that he had already climbed his Everest 'Which was to dethrone Lewis Hamilton'.

Tyson Fury in my opinion has already climbed his Everest, nothing will ever compared to him dethroning Wladimir Kiltschko 'I also don't think he has the appetite for greatness in the sense where he will defend his titles multiple times taking on all comers 'Here is a man that wanted a pat on the back for cutting out diet cokes from his training camps' Over a long period of time, I just don't think Fury is motivated or has the appetite to chase that kind of greatness 'I don't think he cares, because nothing for him will ever compared to when he first won the titles'.

Tyson Fury thrives on being the underdog, right now? He is no longer the underdog, he is on every-bodies radar 'He is the heavyweight divisions most wanted Champion' And to be honest with you 'I don't think he likes that type of environment'.

Everyone is now coming for him cupocity303.
