Let’s not forget, they never even wanted to fight Billy Joe. When Warren made them an offer, there was no counter offer. Warren even welcomed them to make an offer to fight on Sky/Match room, but they just ran away from the fight.
Saunders has signed to fight GGG twice before and always wanted the Canelo fight. He simply wanted what he felt was a fair amount, when other fighters were getting $12m to fight Canelo, then he was right to hold out for more than $6m. That’s negotiation. A lot of people may not like Saunders and have good reason, but i think he’s been serious about wanting Canelo and GGG. I don’t think Smith truly did.
Anyway, good fight i think. We’ll get a very motivated Saunders. Stylistically it’ll give Canelo things to think about that he hasn’t had to in a while.
good post !
also... the article kinda insinuated that Canelo selected Saunders because BJS was his preferred opponent, despite the fact that Smith offered to accept less money... whereas Saunders would not "leave money on the table"...

Holy crap I have been waiting for this fight for 2 years! So excited and pumped for this!!! I am rooting hard for Saunders, he is such a more entertaining and likeable personality than Canelo, especially for non-Hispanics who could care less about his culture and heritage (like me, even though I am a Canelo fan to a degree) and really think if Saunders got more attention in the mainstream boxing spotlight, it would be great for the sport because he is very entertaining and funny and likeable. I think he will give Canelo a tough bout and I hope he wins. Can't wait for this fight, and hopefully we get a rematch out of it, as well. Cong****, Billie Joe, you deserve this chance!

love your positivity
I followed Saunders since he was a kid, he always had excellent skills
EVERYONE said Lemieux would KTFO Saunders... I said that Saunders would put on a showcase performance and embarrass Lemieux... there is a reason why they happily jumped on a plane to Canada
but this will be his most difficult fight by far
excellent fight !
Best Of Luck To Both Guys !
the wankers who are complaining are just crybaby shltheads
Saunders is a top-3 opponent for Canelo... there are (realistically) only 2 opponents who could be classified as better... and they are not much better, if at all
enjoy the fight bro

They know BJS will talk **** and sell the fight. If they want subscribers, then they want press conferences going out across he media with someone like Saunders running his mouth off, calling Canelo “red balls” and whatever else.
What’s Smith gonna do? Sit there and say “yeah we’ll work hard, come prepared”. Who’s going to be rushing to subscribe to see Canelo fight a guy like that if they’ve never heard of him?
Neither Smith or BJS are well known to the casual audience. So the broadcasters are going to want the loudmouth, the one who’s active on social media, a bit controversial etc..
