Comments Thread For: Hearn: Haney-Garcia 'Super Fight' Should Happen By November, December

FRISCO, Texas Eddie Hearn's competitors at Golden Boy Promotions probably have other ideas than Hearn's plan for a Devin Haney-Ryan Garcia fight. Hearn whose company, Matchroom Boxing USA, promotes Haney hopes that lightweight championship match can happen before the end of 2020. Garcia himself has expressed interest in exploring a fight against Haney sometime in 2021.

Lol... Hearn in December, “we made Ryan Garcia a massive offer and he turned it down.”

Still waiting of his massive fights to materialize. Can’t remember the last time I have seen his stars go in as an underdog or even be in a 50/50 fight.

Not a "super fight" per se but a very interesting match of prospects. Whoever wins has probably legitimized himself and would be worthy of a shot at the winner of Lomachenko-Lopez.

Becuase 9 times out of ten the star is the better fighter it's common sense, they're usually the star for a reason.

Hearn risks his biggers fighters anyway Hooker, Farmer, Jacobs, Whyte, Kelly, Estrada, SSR, GGG etc.....

Hell even AJ as a 17 fight novice, Hearns golden boy, fought Klitschko in a 50-50 once upon a time.

Haneys at lot younger than the PBC guys you don't hold to the sames standards.

                  Lol...

Hearn in February: “I tell you the offer we gave Ryan was Absolutely massive.”

Reporter: How did you deliver it to him?

Hearn: “We left a note on his cut man’s car.”

This is not a super fight yet. lol If it happens now it's a battle between one guy who is still a prospect on the cusp of contender status and another guy who is really a contender but was handed a belt outside the ring by the WBC and then stripped that belt by the WBC when he got injured. Between the 2 neither has beaten a top contender at 135. Linares who Ryan is fighting next is the best fighter either has faced. This fight likely only happens when both are established world champs. Also Ryan and Golden Boy have already laid out Ryan's fights for this year and Haney isn't in that mix.
