The death toll is 11 in the US so far. 100 people die in car accidents each day.

It’s at 11 and it just got here and it will only rise. A car accident is not contagious.

Do they shut down schools for the flu?
Do they quarantine entire cruise ships for the Flu?
Do they walk around in full on hazmat gear for the flu?

People trust what you hear on the news lol You better have common sense enough to know that a full on pandemic is about to go down. And more people will die as times go buy. lol and its Flu season.

For god's sake, don't be so apathetic about this disease. Sure, it might not kill you if you're under the age of 60 and don't have a respiratory disorder, but then you risk giving it to someone who matches that description and it could kill them. The disease has an estimated fatality rate of around 3% - if it infects 10% of the US population that means almost a million people dead. Have people forgotten about the swine flu pandemic in 2009? That was estimated to have killed perhaps upwards of half a million people. This new virus is deadlier than that one. So wash your goddamn hands and stop being so coy about all this.

It's both not nothing and not a major pandemic, YET. People are already fear mongering and sweeping it under the rug on both sides. Be calm and rational.
