I just watched AJ vs Ruiz 2 again

Ruiz and his huge 283lbs body caught Josh clean with two big hooks in the 8th rd and Josh ate both and smile. That's a good chin right there. Wilder would've been out cold with those two big hooks.

in wilder's defence he was getting hit with an accumulation of punches, that's why he was dropped in the 3rd.
It'll be interesting how Ruiz and wilder goes. If ruiz starts catching him heavily (like he also did parker) how would wilder defend? at the same time, Wilder could well ko ruiz.

Wilder wobbled after Fury hit me with a stiff jab in the first rd. Then his legs went jelly after Fury hit him with another stiff jab in the 2nd rd. Then when Fury landed a right towards the end of the 2nd rd, that was basically when the fight ended.

Wilder can't spark Ruiz. Ruiz's chin is legit.

I know that in heavyweight division anybody can got knocked out but who u guys rate currently as best chins? I got parker and ruiz at top. Havent seen enuff of joyce or dubios getting hit clean by high caliber guys to rank them.

Ruiz has the best chin by a mile. I don't think Dubois' chin is all that because he was hurt by some old Ghanaian midget.

Ruiz blasts Wilder out in easy fashion, he is tailor made.

It’s not so much the fury fight which is why I have concerns for wilder. In the fury fight you could argue he was caught on the back of the head and never recovered - not dissimilar to Joshua in the first Ruiz.

The bigger concern is that he has been rocked a number of times previously - not only to the likes of Ortiz who people consider a decent level. If I remember right when comparing molina before the Joshua fight - people expected a decent challenge for AJ on the basis that wilder was knocked all over early in the fight.

Having said that, let’s not write wilder off - he’s only had two losses and both were to the same fighter.
