    Saturday 7th March 2020

    Manchester, UK (UTC+0)

    Scott Quigg vs Jono Carroll

    and

    Brooklyn NY USA (UTC-5)

    Adam Kownacki vs Robert Helenius

    BETTING ODDS:

    Quigg: -160 Carroll: +120
    Kownacki: -2000 Helenius: +750 (x3 on Helenius)

    https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/s...carroll/winner

    https://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/a...elenius/winner

The x5 multiplier may be used on either Jono Carroll or Robert Helenius this week.

    Ways fighters can win:
    Decision: WIDE or CLOSE
KO: EARLY (1-4), MID (5-8) or LATE (9-12)

Examples of the ways you can state your decision:

PICK EM CREW, Carroll KO, early x2
PICK EM CREW, Helenius, DEC, CLOSE x2
PICK EM CREW QUIGG DEC 12+
If no multiplier is specified in your pick (ie x2, x3) then it will be assumed that no multiplier is being used (x1)
If you wish to pick a Draw result, simply state your Username, both fighter names and DRAW, ie:

PICK EM CREW, KOWNACKI HELENIUS DRAW

    NOTES:
-Picking the correct winner earns 20 pts
-Picking the correct method earns 10 pts
-Picking the correct detail is worth 10 pts
-Draws are worth 150 pts. A perfect pick without a multiplier is 40pts.

-CLOSE is <12 pts difference, or anything closer than 116-112 on all three scorecards. WIDE is >=12 pts difference, or anything equivalent to 116-112 on all three cards or wider.

-If you'd like to change your pick before the fight starts, post in this thread to do so. Ideally tag me so that I don't miss it.

-2X doubles your points and 3X triples your points. Everyone starts with 10 doubles and 6 triples to use throughout the year. If you forget how many you have left, check the leaderboard in the master thread. Every player also has 1 x5 special multiplier which can be only be used on an underdog (+100 or greater) fighter and will be replenished on July 1st if used before that time.

Sticky me please and it'd be appreciated if you could also remove any old pick 'em threads still stickied.

Okay gentlemen a coupla fights a little further down the rankings this week, but decent nonetheless. Jono Carroll is facing Scott Quigg as a very live underdog in a fight that should give us an interesting clash of styles whilst on the other side of the Atlantic we got Brooklyns adopted Polish son Adam Kownacki a red hot favourite against Finnish Swede Helenius in a kinda transatlantic battle of the Baltic... the bookies have it very wide, based probably on Helenius' Ko loss at the hands of Gerald Washington, but on a good day Helenius can be a bit of handful so it's not entirely foregone.

Planned to complete a trio of Pick Ems was hard hitting Bostonian (Lincolnshire Boston, that is ) Callum Johnson against solid veteran Mikhalkhin which has somehow disappeared from the schedules although I'm not quite clear as to why. I did give some though to a late sub of maybe Parker vs Murdoch or better still one of three nice prospect fights this weekend, Yakubov vs Rojas, Kurbanov vs Illiev or Sanchez vs Dawejko... but then didn't cos why have polls if you just gonna ignore 'em?

Anyways. two fights it is... best of luck gentlemen.

Pretty sure Johnson vs Mikhalkhin will be on the Whyte-Povetkin card now

The Johnson fight was moved. I heard on the g****vine this show has completely flopped in terms of ticket sales so this has been moved to lower costs, hence why the co main has been pulled. Expect Johnson-Mikhalkin to wind up on a PPV card or something, my guess would be they put it on Whyte-Povetkin. Johnson isn’t happy about this either from what I’m told...

Thanks for the heads-up, man. I did a quick search but nothing came up and I just wanted to get the thread up and running. Shame though, cos that was actually the fight I was looking forward to most this weekend (though I really do want to take a good look at Kurbanov and Yaquobov in Ekaterinberg too).

Yeah same here, was a good matchup. Fowler-Flatley off as well, apparently they wanted to reduce Flatley’s purse based on the lack of ticket sales or something, Flatley has now pulled out with an injury but will fight later this month in a rematch against Harry Scarff for the English title. So make of that what you will...😂
