Comments Thread For: Arum Very Eager To Stage Fury vs. Joshua-Pulev Winner in 2020

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, like rival promoter Eddie Hearn, is eager to stage an all-British clash between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury by the end of the year. Joshua will put his IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO belts on the line against challenger Kubrat Pulev on June 20, while WBC champion Fury is set to meet Deontay Wilder for a third bout in July.

Arum clearly fancies Pulev to upset AJ.

Pulev is old and shot with no power, but I could see him wobbling AJ with his nice jab. I'm just not sure if he's fresh enough to finish the job.

    AJ by split decision.

Lets hope so. Late 2020 is fine if it means we can clear up the Fury/Wilder stuff and get Pulev out of the picture finally in the meantime. There really is no excuse after that though. AJ/Wilder has already been badly damaged, lets see if promoters manage to **** up AJ/Fury as well.

        Both should easily win.
Wilder is exposed and Fury will battle him again if he takes it seriously- and Joshua will knock Pulev out.
We get the unification all fans have wanted but Finkel has been blocking.
And as Arum says, it'll help boxing's image after the Wilder years.

This all sounds good but I want to see Usyk get in the mix! I hope Chisora doesn't burst my bubble!

He definitely lacks power in the right but in my opinion Pulev has looked in-shape and strong since the Fury fight. Strong balance and strong in the clinch.... also can go 12 easy if he gets into his jab rhythm.

I was actually quite surprised how shredded he got in his later years.

it sucks because we have 2 clear finalists.

For whatever reason there will be a third semi final btw Wilder and Fury...

Whatever it is Whyte will get his shot in 2021 as promised by WBC. If things go south then WBC may need to compensate Whyte handsomely
