Wilder did but some of these reasonings for cherry picking are ******. Wilder called Fury out when Fury was fat and hadn't fought anyone in years. Not because he looked bad in any fight, he looked like he might not even make 12 without blowing his heart like a cow.

    In a way, it's a little worse.

Also, it's goofy to give Tyson credit for sitting at home on his fat ass crying. Yes, great plan by Fury. Someone will surely call you out and pay you when you sit on your ass and cry. Y'all give that a shot and see if you still need a job.

And than he should finally take a huge payday against Joshua.

Now it is too late. Fury ruined his career.
Wilder was a world champion and a champion fights top challengers his weight and does not pick and chose only guys he is sure he can beat. If he does that he is a phony pretend champion not worthy to be called a champion. Wilder did the right thing. He lost which sometimes happens to real champions who fight worthy champions. A champion that stays champion by only fighting cheery picks is not a true champion.

People here are never satisfied. If he would've of avoided Fury yall would've said he ducked him, instead he fights him and puts on a hell of a show but is an idiot for losing. Half of the people on here seem more like promoters than actual fans.

A 400lb coked up beer swilling fatty who had looked bad previously- this was absolutely a cherry pick that turned into a cherry bomb squad wrecking machine.

Wilder needed a name on his record and Fury provided that while posing little risk - or so they thought.

Was Wilder really the favorite in the first fight?

Wilder was told that he had no options outside of Joshua and he was going to get frozen out if he didn’t take Hearn’s flat fee.

But who would have thought Fury would have pulled out such an incredible performance after what had just been thru.

You could argue that, at the time, Wilder was looking to fight a credible name who was not gonna set him back.

Fury had ballooned up to 400 lbs, popped dirty? (idk what happened with that whole UKAD thing), was addicted to drugs, and looked bad in his comeback run. But he was also the lineal champ who beat the man of the division at the time.

They thought they could get his name on the record and then dine out on bums rest of the career. I think it was worth the gamble, they were seconds away from getting the win.the difference between the rematch shows how rusty fury actually was in the first one and he still won 10 rounds
