Even if he did, I'd give Canelo alot of credit for the win. Wilder is still a HW and hits extremely hard, it would be quite a risk.Comment

That would still be one hell of a win if he can get the fight and the win.
Not many fighters in history have gone from 175 to HW and win, it doesn't matter who the opponent is, let alone a dude who came from like 140lbs. Has that even ever been done?
I don't care who the opponent is, a HW can crack your skull if you're too small.
If Roy Jones Jr fought and beat a 37 year old Mike Tyson when that fight looked like it was going to happen but fell off due to Roy wanting more money, you really think anyone would've b/tched at Roy in the long run for coming up from LHW and beating Mike Tyson? He would've been praised, and some would've hated on him, but most people would see it as it is: a smaller boxer coming up to beat a HW. Then again, a 37 year old, 2003 Mike Tyson was still seen as dangerous despite being recently KO'ed by Lennox Lewis. At the time, the fight generated a ton of interest, both negative and positive.
Only a group of geeks would b/tch about Canelo fighting Wilder. Wilder is 6'7", 230lbs and a huge puncher and can take a punch. Let's face it, Fury hit Wilder with everything and even wrestled him until he tired out, and Wilder was still just out on his feet rather than KO'ed unconscious.
Sh/t i'm still waiting for other P4P fighters to move up and fight "weaker" opponents in higher weight classes.Comment
