I agree that women should not judge in boxing or MMA. Yes men don't always have good decisions but it seems in my experience women have done a much worse job of judging. These are men sports that should be judged by men.

Guys, this is the year 2006, we can't be making up rules that women aren't allowed to judge fights. The problem that we have that cannot be allowed is tokenism. I have heard of women in amateur boxing in my area being certified much more easily due to the fact that they wanted more gender equality in the sport. This is the type of thing that could also easily happen in the pro game.

If a woman meets the same qualifications of a man, passes all of the required tests and screenings that a man does, and proves herself to be a competent official, then she has every right to be judging. Just don't let an unqualified woman in for the sake of being politically correct. Lets not generalise too much here by saying that women should not be judges.
