A 2020 look back at Baby Joe Mesi

Joe Mesi was an American heavyweight who fought in the early 2000’s. He started boxing late at 19 years old and amassed a record of 36-0 with 29 KO’s.
His career was cut short by a right hand that landed behind his head against former cruiserweight champion Vassiliy Jirov.

What do you think of him all these years later?
    Was he a pretender?
How do you feel about the way they forced him out of the sport despite some of the worlds top neurologists clearing him to fight?

He and Rocky undefeated and unlike Rocky, no tragedy took him prematurely.
