Canelo and GGG were about the same size on FN. In fact guys like Andre Ward and RJJ have said GGG was always bigger than Canelo. A lot of fans dont know about the draining process on fight week. GGG always sweating on fight week at pressers with his eyes seeped in.... how GGG fans dont see that as awkward is beyond me... then again, as many say, “if you can make the weight then...”
If it was a close fight they would have just given Canelo a W not a Draw

That’s not how boxing works. The culture in boxing is to drain to make your class. Why do you think Canelo looked like Mikey vs Spence or Mikey vs Vargas? Mikey didn’t have to drain for these fights. Canelo looked filled when he fought Fielding to Kovalev. Kovalev on the other hand, drained.
Don’t ask primary school questions.
They're about the same size roughly, Canelo being a thicker built guy.
It detracts from my point that I felt their first fight was pretty clearly in favor of GGG.
I'd love to hear a reasonable argument for why Canelo won.Comment

I’m a realist. Not some fanboy with emotional attachments like the Canelo defence team in this thread. GGG won the first fight. It wasn’t a runaway win but he won. A draw was wrong.Comment

The point I'm illustrating is that he was/is not smaller than GGG, hes now just not cutting so much weight.

I told other posters that there’s nothing wrong with whomever had either guy winning in both fights. ALL circumstances for
Styles and expectations clashed that they phased each other out. That’s why the rematch was needed. I thought Canelo could’ve done more in the first fight, as well as GGG.
The second fight was an ultra elite chess match. Very hard to score imo and also close. Aside from compubox or stats from either fight, I gave the 2nd to Canelo because as a boxing fan, you want to see elites change styles and change the narratives. That’s what makes the drama epic. I’m not going to say either one blasted each other with skill because that’s not what happened.
Given all the circumstances, the second fight was all was that needed, a close ultra elite fight and it could go either way.
So now we’ve got the third fight narrative, do you honestly want it? I don’t think it’s fair to Canelo because even if he sparks him out he’s not going to get the credit since they will say he prolonged it. This is why 168+ is a must for their third fight. It gives GGG a chance to perform without a disadvantage at this age and state of his career. GGG is killing himself to make 160.
I don’t care for the 3rd fight at all.Comment

Ggg won the second fight just as easily too, 8 rounds to 4 in both fights. Just cause canelo came forward more in the rematch doesn't mean he won any more rounds.Comment

Again, if you say Canelo going forward doesn’t mean anything proves why you same GGG diehards are confused with GGG moving forward in the first fight. Such posts prove why pros were open to say “it could go either way” in the second fight or that they didn’t mind the draw in the first fight. Why would pros have a dog for either? GGG nor Canelo are making money for the pros and their opinions. Diehards love to credit general fan opinion over professional opinions. That’s just gayComment
