    I suppose he could have under-trained or is simply past his sell by date, but the way it happened just looked a bit suspect. Not quite Ali-Liston phantom punch but not a million miles away either.
    In his post fight instagram live streams in Russian he clearly said he did not fully recover from prior fight. He took the Canelo fight because it was too good to refuse. He wanted to fight later but they would not move it.

      An older fighter's toughest opponent is themself. They all know you're a long time retired and many find it hard to recognize when their decline has progressed too far. A lot of them have no idea what else they can do with their lives, as they've been fighting since they were kids.
