He is arguably like 1-2 in his last 3 fights, and that 1 clear win was vs a total unknown no-hoper opponent. He’s probably resting his body. He can keep KO’ing the Steve Rolls and Dominic Wade’s of the world, or dudes coming up from WW-JMW, without rest, but in order to fair better vs the top MW’s, at his age he needs to rest his body.

The Derevyanchenko fight, which he arguably lost but officially won, probably had him feeling like a loser and made him want to rest a bit.

His record says W, he officially won. He officially beat Jacobs too. But all these performances vs Jacobs, Canelo, Derevyanchenko, they probably got him feeling like he is not that big bad wolf his fans and his former coach hyped him up to be.
