    As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Mikey Garcia wants to fight Manny Pacquiao after a unanimous decision win over Jessie Vargas in Texas on Saturday. Garcia was awarded the bout 116-111, 116-111 and 114-113 after controlling the second half of the fight for the WBC diamond welterweight title at the Ford Center at The Star.

      He kept leaning his head to the right side while trying to land a check hook. That was his defense against right hands. It’s a sort of kamikaze way to defend the attack. You saw him stagger Garcia with it in the second round and use it to keep Garcia from charging in full blast, but then you saw it backfire as the right made it through later. Repeatedly.

        Decent fight by Mikey. I still think he looked strongest and fastest when he fought Broner. Let's see how he adjusts to the weight at welter going forward. He looked faster this time around than when he fought Spence

          why the fk is he not fighting in 140... He can be unified champ, rather than getting bruises from 147 folks.

            Mikey not a true WW. Should fight 140. He will beat most WW but size and physicality of the elite WW will always be against him Spence etc

                    Vargas was and will always be a fringe contender
                    Tough as nails and not a bad boxer but will not be elite
                    Gets hit often , once Mikey figured him out ( the fact they are friends said a lot ) he was teeing off on him and could of been nightly night
                    And this coming from the smaller man but the stronger man
