Mikey in complete control now. What a terrific fighter he is. Just stays composed and takes advantage of any mistake. Vargas hasn't landed a clean shot in 2.5 rounds now. Mikey is going to continue hurting Vargas and possibly stop him.

1 vargas, excellent round, few crisp clean shots.
2 vargas. Mikey doing nothing but eating everything. Lands a few shots at the end. But not enough to win the round.
3 vargas. Close round. Mikey lands a few beautiful shots, but vargas lands volume of clean shots. Good flurry at the end too.
4 vargas. Good exchanges, Mikey not wasting energy, throwing tight shots. Jesse throwing a ton, can his energy level keep up?
5 Mikey, KD. Jesse gets cute and gets caught twice in a row. Mikey is intelligent and figured him out a few times.
6 vargas! Jesse was absolutely in survival mode whole round on shaky legs, but Mikey just didn't press him and ate a few looping shots. Jesse is there to be knocked out, but he won this round. Mikey saved a lot of energy.
7 Mikey. Jesse eats a lot of shots, very wobbly. Mikey with precision punches.

The same punches keep landing on him and he continues to do the same thing over and over.

One thing about Vargas, he’s a B level fighter but he’s tough as hell. He’s not an easy out for any top fighter he’s faced.

Mikey doesn't waste energy. Always just finding the perfect shot while Vargas went full on since round 1, now it looks like the gas tank running on empty especially after the kd.

Vargas’ corner needs to tell him to either get close or score big off that jab of Garcia’s with a right.

Mikey would make this fight easier if he just lets his hands go. I don't think he trusts his endurance/stamina. What's the point of moving up to 147 if he doesn't allow himself to go all out? Jessie is ready to go.
