Mayorga was very wild but I've never cringed while watching him whereas Wilder had me doing just that in the Spzilka fight when he was missing punches, falling over and attempting some of the worst off the ropes counter punches I've ever seen.

They don’t belong in the same conversation. Mayorga had some good wins, and could fight. He fought way better opponents.

Unlike Wilder, Mayorga has a good resume who held wins over Vernon Forrest, Andre Lewis, Fernando Vargas and Michele Piccirillo, and got robbed against Spinks. Mayorga was DEATHLY close to becoming an undisputed Welterweight champ had he not been robbed by the Spinks fight.
