    Wilder likely still beats Joshua

Now that we see how pressure/toughness is the real key to beating Wilder we know that AJ doesn't have that ability or style, and what we saw in his last fight was a combination of fear and boxing from long range. Bad recipe against Wilder even though he's got better fundamentals.

He will have 12 rounds to time Joshua and land one of his bombs and it will certainly result in a TKO. Joshua can't pull the trigger anymore and Wilder remains tough to finish. I don't see how you can be sure AJ has the upperhand, it's like one loss against an arguable ATG HW has everyone writing Wilder off.

Stop it. Your boy is a bum. B..b...but his dress was too heavy.

He will have 12 rounds? He got stopped by a pillow puncher ffs.

edit: TS has put me on ignore now. Weak sauce.

edit: edit: TS now claiming Wilder can recover well? WTF? He was stumbling around for 4 rounds against Fury. What a tard.

My question for this matchup would be this- Will Joshua have the cojones to come forward and bring the fight to Deontay Wilder?

What you wilder fans still don't ever seem to have got your head round is that Wilder's chin is terrible. With his sloppy style Joshua would end up stopping him first and winning all the exchanges

How is his chin terrible if only two guys have put him down?

What does that say about Joshuas chin?

Wilder's chin is much better than Joshua's and more importantly he has a lot of heart and can recover well, something AJ doesn't have.

If these two fight and both get hurt, Wilder will stay on his feet and recover. If Aj is the one hurt he will be decked and quit again.

I don't mind anyone saying they still believe Wilder KOs Joshua but if you're using the Ruiz fight as a measuring stick then I have to question if you really know what you're talking about.

Joshua likes mixing it up at close and medium range (these exchanges won the Wlad fight), against Ruiz he couldn't do this because Ruiz has fluid combinations, a really good chin and better hand speed..... plus Ruiz always fires back when you hurt him unlike Wilder who retreats with his chin in the air. These advantages to do not apply to Wilder so its silly to give him the upper hand based on how Ruiz made Joshua fight. On the flip side Ruiz is pretty much useless at long range whereas Wilder offers the ultimate threat, so again why would Joshua look to outbox Wilder at distance?

Joshua has spoken about how he would fight Wilder and he didn't mention anything about keeping it at range on the backfoot, he made it clear that he'd have to get Wilder before he got him. Its tiring listen to Wilder fans always say Wilder would have 12 rounds to land his sunday punch, well no because some of these guys can and will look to knock him out first... AJ is one of those guys. You do not need to be 6'9 and 270 to beat Wilder...... At 6'6 and 240 with 82 inch reach Joshua is basically the same size as Wilder meaning a lot of the basic errors he gets away with (leaning back with his chin in the air) against smaller guys will likely be punished by someone as big as Joshua.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Wilder can't win..... he absolutely can but we can't know the result until they fight so I'm not giving Joshua a victory or saying Wilder can't win. I simply don't get using the Ruiz fight as a measuring stick when Ruiz and Wilder are totally different fighters in every sense of the word. It would be like saying Fury beating Wilder on Saturday proved that he can beat Mike Tyson

We'll likely never know..... if Wilder takes the trilogy I see him losing again and he will struggle to get fights.

It's a safer option than giving Wilder time and space to extend that right hand, so I don't see why Joshua wouldn't now.

For years I've always thought Joshua could stop Wilder within a few rounds by pressing him and throwing big shots early. The problem was, I don't think that's how Joshua would have fought Wilder at all. He would have boxed him on the outside and hoped his superior technique would allow him to land the telling punches first, which is a dangerous game.

I'll admit that I never saw Fury fighting Wilder the way he did, despite him showing he could employ that style in the past again against Steve Cunningham.
