What? Wilder lost to the best HWT in the world, proving he isn't the best. AJ lost to a fat, slovenly journeyman proving he was the biggest hype job in the last 10 years. His beating Ruiz in the rematch doesn't change that.Comment

It's how they lost. Joshua got caught with a punch, like many have in the past like Lewis etc. Wilder got outclassed. Completely outclassed. Joshua proved his loss was a mistake by pitching a shutout in the rematch. Wilder showed he was shite. "b..b..but his dress was heavy"Comment

**** that, Wilder's still an exciting fighter with a ton of heart and there is no reason this loss should send anyone into hiding.Comment

It's who they lost to. We can understand how Wilder could lose to Fury, especially after the first fight. There was no viable excuse for AJ to get destroyed by someone so lightly regarded who came in so fat and slovenly. It's how they lost. As for proving the loss was a mistake, The main reason AJ won the rematch is because Ruiz didn't even bother to train and came in at an even more slovenly 280+ pounds.
Wilder hasn't had the rematch yet. Not that I think the outcome will be different.Comment

Nonsense. Ruiz is a blip, like Rahman on Lewis record. Wilder has shown he doesn't belong in two fights with Fury. Outclassed in both. It's debatable who is the better fighter between Wilder and Ruiz. It's who they lost to. We can understand how Wilder could lose to Fury, especially after the first fight. The difference between Lewis and AJ is Lennox knocked Rahman out by fighting the same way he always did. AJ completely changed his style. While I thought he looked good, a LOT of fans were disgusted by the visual of him fighting defensive against a shorter, fatter, slob of a an opponents. Lewis came out looking better. Can we say the same for AJ?
It's not debatable, Wilder is better. What is debatable is would AJ have beaten Ruiz if he actually cared and trained for the rematch.Comment
