Why do “fans” root for pbc or top rank like they’re club teams?

I see this all over NSB and Twitter were it seems almost every fan is biased towards or against a certain organization....should we all like the best pbc, top rank, and mathroom etc. have to offer?

It has to do with seeing the bigger picture. They latch onto a particular team when they see that team is more likely to make the fights they want to see.

This does make sense, but I feel like I see a lot of pbc bias both ways...is there a reason you think pbc is especially so polarizing? They happen to have my favorite fighters in Spence and GRjr but I love top rank and match room fighters too

You’d have to ask someone else because I agree with the second poster in this thread, ha. Boxing politics is just something I see and have to put up with. I don’t fully understand what is going through the fans minds.

I've only really seen pbc fans do it (apart from one or two other weirdos like young bidness for dazn) . They support the organisation for racial reasons, pretty sad really.
