Comments Thread For: Fury's Father Warns Joshua: Stay Away, Tyson Will Wreck You!

Shouldn't he be wanting the fight for his son instead of telling him to stay away?

Somebody needs to tell this guy to keep it to himself. He's still not cool just cause his son is.

That’s prison talk meant to rattle people. He spent 4 years there after gouging a mans eye out. I didn’t even know that was a thing TBH. Figured it was a Mortal Kombat move or something.

He went on breakfast time UK TV expressing his wishes that Tyson should retire now.

Says he's won all the belts to win, done his money and should now enjoy his family and leave it to the young guns. He said said he's told Tyson that and could tell he was thinking about it.

Still, can't help but think he'll progress even more with the kronk style and really fancy his chances of taking his place in history as the only man to own the heavyweight lineal, ring mag, WBC, WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO titles.

                ^^^^

I think that retirement talk is a tactic they are using to ensure no one stalls at the negotiation table. Because stalling = stay busy fights = upsets = big paydays lost. Fury has pointed out that Price and Joshua blew it big time by losing. You could hear the disgust in his voice.

It's hype, expect plenty of trash talk. The fight will happen.

If Tyson fights that way against Joshua, I don’t think it’s going to be an easy night for him. Joshua has far more versatility and can throw hard punches at different ranges, including hooks and upper cuts, something Wilder seems to have skipped class on.
