Who had the better WBC run....Wilder or Vitaly

obviously Wilder's run was not anywhere near as good as Wlad's

but lets compare WBC to WBC runs.. Wilder's 5 year run to Vitaly's run...who fought better opponents, who has the better resume

Vitaly had a 8 year run 2004-2012 and Wilder had a 5 year run 2015-2020

so while Vitaly has longevity over Wilder, who had the better names, resume etc. in that run?

Vitali. He only fought one boxer who had more than two losses during that run and it was a former two time heavyweight champion in Shannon Briggs.

He took undefeated records away from four different fighters.

Basically it was the era of the best available boxer got a shot at a Klitschko and lost.

Wilder fought all garbage until Ortiz and Fury. Props to him for fighting Ortiz and Fury but that’s not enough to be better than Vitali.

edit: Vitaly's run could also be seen as 5 years as well, since his return fight with Peter

More like WHY DID WILDER wait till Vitali retired to go for the WBC Strap... He wanted none of the heat...

Vitali was a better fighter but there’s honestly not that much between there runs.

Ortiz, Stiverne, Brezeale are a similar level to Solis, Peter, Adamek etc.

I’d slightly favour Vitali, both solid runs but neither mightily impressive.

You clearly weren’t following boxing back then.😂😂

Wilder was nowhere near a shot during Vitali’s reign.

I put about even, but on second thought I might even favor Wilder to be honest.

I would pick Luis Ortiz to beat most, if not all, of the people on Vitaly's list
