He's got good reach and a good jab. If he stops backing straight and circles he can do much better as a fighter.

That'd be his hope here - to keep it at range use the jab to stop Rougarou getting inside for any length of time, but yeah pulling straight back - and especially going to the ropes, and getting involved in needless exchanges are two things he really should be looking to fix. I mean I like that he doesn't mind getting in a tear up but it really doesn't play to his strengths.

If Prograis wins he should fight Crawford at 147 next.

I'll bet you wouldn't be saying that if it was 2 Mexican fighters.
They have both accomplished more than you probably will in your entire pathetic life.

Well he's trained by Bud's trainer so I think they're well aware of his shortcomings.

"Now the pair collide at a 143lbs catchweight..."

                  Catchweight? What's that all about?

Good fight, should be action packed until Regis gets the stoppage in the 4th round. Props to both for taking the fight, especially Mo.

I don't mind the catch-weight. Also means training camp won't b as strenuous with the fight only 7 weeks away.

Hopefully it means Prograis could get another fight in at 140 in the summer around the time that Taylor and Ramirez should be getting it on.

Irony being, of course, that Bud's another one who gets caught up in firefights when he doesn't need to. I like that they both got dog in 'em but firstly Bud's got some real venom - he enjoys putting the hurt on dudes - more than Hooker and secondly he 's got the skill to spare to get him out of any trouble he gets into whereas the same can't be said of Mo... he's good, but not next level good.
