            • If people are dying in the ring they will take this sport away from us. Very selfish thing to say. Nobody should be bigger than the sport, and the fighters should have enough sense to protect it. The fans pay the wages, it’s up to us what we support. It’s a barbaric sport for sure, but we don’t need to see anyone take any unnecessary punishment, or watch sum snuff film. Wilder needs to get over himself.

              • I wish the corner had let him go on, maybe we wouldn't have to endure Wilder-Fury 3.

He is no more grateful for it.

Pretty much every legend of the sport has said they're willing to die in the ring, or other similar phrases. Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Mike Tyson, etc.

They're warriors. That's what they signed up for! If they didn't have that mentality, then every fight would end with the wimpier guy taking a knee and begging the ref to stop the fight when things get rough in there.

The fighter's job is to FIGHT. The referee, doctor, and corner all play roles in protecting the fighter. Again, if every fighter just took a knee when things weren't going their way, then we wouldn't need the ref or the corner to do those duties. But that's not how boxing is, and it's completely unrealistic to expect fighters to have that mentality.

That being said, Mark Breland did a good job. And that's why we need people like Mark in the sport.
I understand your comment, pulling out big names doesn’t make it right, still ******.

Warriors should know when they are defeated and have no chance, there isn’t any honour in dying in the ring or living the rest of ones life as a vegetable, nothing is worth that, just imagine his little girl and children seeing her daddy dead in the ring, is that what you want? Is that how Wilder wants his kids to remember him? Stubbornly giving his life when he could have smartly quit! This would hurt all his family and friends forever, in addition to that it might affect Fury too for life and boxing in general loses.

Nothing in your comment justifies not giving up when all hope is lost, in MMA, they tap out for a reason.

Finally, American armed service men are the best in the world, and they are warriors, and this brings to mind the wise words of General Patton-

No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.

This words can be used in relation to Wilder, Patton understands the business of war, and boxing is business first...his dumb comments takes boxing a few years back, bad for boxing, this kind of utterances make sport organisations like the Olympics think about banning boxing.

With notable exceptions, most would say Wilder is not.
Agreed. Problem as I see it is that Wilder doesn't know how to be dignified and Fury knows but doesn't care.
