Based on this interview with Eric Gomez, it sounds like Canelo might be fighting someone else and not BJS or Smith, or am I reading too much into his words?

      Wouldnt be surprised at all.

BJS is a weird self-entitled guy so I can definitely see him ducking the fight via outrageous demands...same way Charlo did.

Dont know much about Callum Smith, but its hilarious that these 2 are being accused of out pricing themselves and arent denying it in public.

Why is it so funny? Both guys nearly lost their last fights (Callum DID lose) to journeyman level opponents. If they lose their next fight the Canelo fights NEVER happen.

So they arent getting the $12 million they're demanding - EVER - and they're passing up the $5-$7 million being offered which they also will NEVER get. Makes zero sense..bc if either of them BEAT Canelo...they'll make $20+ in a rematch.

      Oh well...poor business decisions.

Am looking forward to whoever it is and I wouldn't be surprised if its GGG III at this point or someone not even being discussed

I wouldn't be surprised a guy out the blue like Gilberto Ramirez gets the fight. Canelo knows him has sparred him. Ramirez just refused to accept the WBO tournament he is trying to get out his top rank contract. They have made fights nobody saw coming before hell Nobody expected Golden boy to send an offer to Caleb Plant.
