Mark joined team Wilder in 2009(Wilder turned pro in 2008) and its obvious he is responsible for any success Wilder has had as a pro fighter from a trainer perspective. Mark also used to train Vernon Forest. Mark does the training and Deas is a cheerleader/leech who benefits from Wilder's kindness/******ity to the extreme of being labeled the head trainer when at this point he offers nothing but moral support.
Jay Deas Has Been Leeching Off Mark Breland's Training For 11 Years.

That is the truth and I'm surprised others haven't caught on to it. Jay is using Mark and Wilder both, he's there for money and nothing more.Mark joined team Wilder in 2009(Wilder turned pro in 2008) and its obvious he is responsible for any success Wilder has had as a pro fighter from a trainer perspective. Deas is the guy that shows Wilder and takes the punches while suiting up and goes over the opponents style as best he can.
Breland does basic boxing with mitts I never saw the guy doing what Deas does , why is Breland the assistant trainer ? A guy like that doesn’t communicate well because he whispers , communicating is the key to successful corner but neither guy blend togetherwell it’s a comedy show, yes Deas cheerleads in the corner but Breland isn’t exactly giving him any indication how to apply a skill set in there either. I didn't know Breland trained Vernon Forrest. He was a quality fighter, as was Breland himself.Mark joined team Wilder in 2009(Wilder turned pro in 2008) and its obvious he is responsible for any success Wilder has had as a pro fighter from a trainer perspective. Hopefully Breland can find another prospect to work with.Last edited by Cobra Curry; 02-26-2020, 03:42 PM.Comment

Deas reminds me of some of the dads that brings their kids to a boxing gym.
All of a sudden they no more about boxing and pad work than trainers with 20 years experience.
Basically they embarrass themselves front of their own kids.Comment

We will never know how Wilder would have turned out if Breland had been running the show over there and didn't have to take orders from some fan of boxing pretending to be a pro trainer. Breland is a former Kronk fighter. I'm sure he knows that pad work is ****ty just like you do, but what could he do about it? He couldn't undermine Deas who has Wilder by the brain.Comment
